God is saying to us today, “Be pleased and rejoice in what I have actually currently done for you! Our work will always yield a good return, so we must be diligent and devoted to stay in God’s service our entire lives. We are assured throughout Scripture that God will not desert us, and one method this shows true is that He will always cause an outcome when His Word is preached. Our part is to merely stay constant in our service. If we remain devoted to His will and His method for us, we can be sure to see the components of His strategies unfold in our lives.

Moses cautioned Israel, “Due to the fact that you did not serve the Lord your God with joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things, for that reason you shall serve your enemies, whom the Lord will send against you, in hunger, in thirst, in nakedness, and in need of all things” (Deuteronomy 28:47 -48).

Is there a difference in between work and serve? Sure! They are both generally the same, but work is another word for labor. You can work for food, for friends, or for funds, but work is simply … work! Serving is serve one another in love of work: work that suggests a direction. You can work without regard for others, however you can not serve that way. Serving is labor for somebody else. It will make all the difference on the planet today if you are serving instead of simply working.
